Welcome to the Asta Nielsen Tumblr! It’s been one of my goals to create the ultimate Asta Nielsen English fan site but things got in the way so I thought that Tumblr would be a good place to start.
Why do I love Asta? Because she has screen presence that no other actor or actress has that I have come across. Her face is the most expressive that I’ve seen in silent cinema and I also like that she’s a diva. What’s there to dislike? She is beautiful, talented, yet very much human while being otherworldly through the medium of film.
